WARNING from the DYFED POWYS POLICE
Livestock worrying continues to be an issue across the Dyfed Powys force area, in Powys division alone we dealt with eight incidents during January 2021 and have had one incident reported so far as of 04th February.
Incidents occur when dogs are unsupervised, escape from their gardens or when not kept under control when out walking.
Livestock worrying results in suffering to the livestock, financial loss and in some circumstances, dogs being destroyed.
Please ensure dogs are kept secure when at home or kept on a lead whilst out walking.
Stick to footpaths when walking in rural locations, avoid fields and footpaths if livestock is present.
Farmers will be ‘lambing’ now, well into spring – #yourdogyourresponsibilty
PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEAD
